This afternoon, we donated over 650 items to the House of Welcome Centre at Granville, completing our Term 3 outreach. It was a truly fantastic whole school effort, and we are so grateful for your generosity and support. Jackie and the House of Welcome team were there to receive the donations and were incredibly humbled by your kindness. What a wonderful way to come together and make a positive impact. Check out the video of gratitude from Jackie

Yesterday Year 3 explored the wonderful world of matter! Students discovered that matter is anything that has mass and takes up space, and investigated its three main states: solids, liquids, and gases. They explored how heating and cooling can cause exciting changes like melting, freezing, evaporating, and condensing. Students saw these amazing transformations in action and learnt that they are all reversible. It was a fun, interactive, and educational experience! πŸ§‘β€πŸ”¬βœ¨

Today, selected students from Year 5 accompanied Ms Pospsichil for the Catholic Mission launch of Socktober 2025 at St John XXIII School in Stanhope Gardens. They joined students from other schools across the diocese to learn about Zambia, our focus nation and the specific projects Catholic Mission is undertaking there. The launch concluded with the students celebrating Mass together. We look forward to fundraising next term to support those less fortunate than ourselves.

Our little Kindy students have been so curious and engaged this week! We've been exploring a very special question: ""Why do we go to Mass ?" They've been learning that Mass is a time to come together as a community, to listen to stories from the Bible, and to thank God for all the blessings in our lives. It's a special way we can show our love and gratitude! We're so proud of their thoughtful questions and wonderful insights. It's a joy to see their faith journey begin.

We have some amazing authors in Year 1! ✍️ They have been busy writing imaginative stories and having a blast while doing it! The students have been reading and answering questions based on the shared text to help them when writing their own fairytales. They've been rereading their writing to check that it makes sense and that all their sight words are correctly written. It's so exciting to see them grow as writers! 🀩 #Year1Writing #YoungAuthors #ImaginativeWriting #ReadingandWriting #Literacy #PrimarySchool #Fairytales
