Gymnastics Fever Hits Holy Spirit
This term children from Holy Spirit have been involved in a gymnastics program run by the amazing DanceFever Multisport group, which has been partly subsidised by a Sporting Schools grant received by the school. Sporting Schools brings together schools and sports to help get Aussie children active in their local communities.
Each Tuesday a team of dynamic young trainers bring a wide variety of equipment to our school. They set up in our Cola and MPA and then proceed to run 7 sessions of gymnastics! The children are working on skills of jumping and landing, balance, rotation, locomotion and object manipulation and are absolutely loving the program!

What a clucking exciting week it's been in kindy! 🐓 We've been busy little learners, diving into the wonderful world of chickens! We've heard the egg-cellent news that Farmer Campbell will be dropping off some eggs next week! 🥚 Stay tuned to ""watch this space"" to see what exciting things are about to hatch in our classroom! In the meantime, our kindy kids have been putting their pencils to paper and showing off their amazing learning. Take a peek at some of their writing about what they've learned about chickens and how they plan to take care of them.

Caring for Creation. Year 3 students read the Creation story for Catholic Mission’s and reflected on how they can keep our planet healthy and clean. They then discussed how individuals could make a difference and shared their favorite parts of creation by creating 'Seeds of Hope' artwork.

🍎 Kindy Buddies in Action! 🤝 What a special day for our current Kindy students! While our 2026 Kindy Orientation took place, our youngest learners spent quality time with their fantastic Year 5 buddies! The Year 5 students took on a wonderful leadership role, guiding their Kindy friends through fun activities, learning adventures, and exciting explorations around the school. It was a beautiful display of teamwork, mentorship, and friendship.

🏀 What an absolutely fantastic day we had yesterday at the Stage 2 & 3 Basketball Gala Day! 🎉 Our students hit the court with incredible energy and enthusiasm, showing off their amazing skills and sportsmanship. From epic layups to swishes from downtown, every student gave it their all! We saw some amazing teamwork, hustle, and incredible plays. Whether it was a win, a loss, or a draw, our students embraced every moment and learned so much. 💪

Mrs. Garzaniti and all of the teachers are absolutely buzzing with excitement after spending time with our Kindy 2026 students at Orientation today! 🥳🍎✏️ Their smiles, laughter, and passion for learning were already shining through! Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Students enrolling in Year 7 from 2026 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in learning within a supportive Catholic community.

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of the Holy Spirit School community. Our Catholic Mission fundraising efforts for Zambia has been a massive success, and it's all thanks to your open hearts and dedication. Seeing all the vivid, colourful, and creative socks, ties, hats, and glasses around the school was a fantastic demonstration of our shared mission and community spirit. 🤪🧦✨ Good news!
