Gymnastics Fever Hits Holy Spirit
This term children from Holy Spirit have been involved in a gymnastics program run by the amazing DanceFever Multisport group, which has been partly subsidised by a Sporting Schools grant received by the school. Sporting Schools brings together schools and sports to help get Aussie children active in their local communities.
Each Tuesday a team of dynamic young trainers bring a wide variety of equipment to our school. They set up in our Cola and MPA and then proceed to run 7 sessions of gymnastics! The children are working on skills of jumping and landing, balance, rotation, locomotion and object manipulation and are absolutely loving the program!

They participated in a range of experiments exploring the concepts of viscosity, density and diffusion.π« Using the scientific method, the students made hypotheses, recorded observations and drew conclusions explaining these terms. π

πΈ Feast of the Assumption πΈ Today, our Holy Spirit community came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary with a beautiful Mass, led by Father Saju. This special feast reminds us of Maryβs deep faith, trust in God, and her example of love and service. π Celebrating Father Daveβs 80th Birthday Last month, Father Dave celebrated his 80th birthday, and today we had the joy of marking this special milestone with a heartfelt gesture. Two of our Kindergarten students proudly presented him with a school jacket embroidered with his nameβa symbol that he truly belongs to our Holy Spirit community. Father Dave was genuinely touched and deeply appreciative of the gift. A beautiful reminder of the strong bond between our school and parish. π

What an incredible day of discovery for our Year 1 adventurers! πΊοΈ In Geography, we explored our favourite places by discussing, drawing, and writing about why they're so special. It was wonderful to see all the unique and imaginative spots from exciting playgrounds to cozy bedrooms and even Disney land! We also had a brilliant time learning about natural environments (like forests and oceans) and made environments (like cities and houses).
