Throughout this term Year 5 students have been using their scientific knowledge and understanding about planets to create informative picture books for our Year 1 students.
It was crucial that Year 5 used language appropriate to their purpose and audience. Students demonstrate all the skills they had learned in class very well when presenting each fun facts about space as well as having a great time.
An example of an activity that Year 5 and Year 1 participated in was sharing their fun facts in groups rotating around the room in order to engage with multiple groups and to learn lots about various planets and sharing the knowledge that they had learned with one another.

π Celebrating Father Daveβs 80th Birthday Last month, Father Dave celebrated his 80th birthday, and today we had the joy of marking this special milestone with a heartfelt gesture. Two of our Kindergarten students proudly presented him with a school jacket embroidered with his nameβa symbol that he truly belongs to our Holy Spirit community. Father Dave was genuinely touched and deeply appreciative of the gift. A beautiful reminder of the strong bond between our school and parish. π

What an incredible day of discovery for our Year 1 adventurers! πΊοΈ In Geography, we explored our favourite places by discussing, drawing, and writing about why they're so special. It was wonderful to see all the unique and imaginative spots from exciting playgrounds to cozy bedrooms and even Disney land!
