🕊️❤️ One Spirit. Many Gifts. Together We Grow. ❤️🕊️ Today our Holy Spirit community came together to celebrate our School Feast Day with a beautiful Pentecost Mass, family morning tea, and our “Holy Spirit is Alive” classroom sessions. Thank you to all the parents and families who joined us throughout the day and helped make the celebration so special. As Fr Perci reminded us in his homily, “The Holy Spirit is still alive and active today.” The Holy Spirit is present in our school, in our families, and in each one of us as we continue to grow in kindness, courage, faith, and love. It was wonderful to see students creating special Holy Spirit keepsakes to take home — reminding us that we belong to something greater and that the Holy Spirit is always at work within us. Thank you for celebrating faith, family, and community with us today.

📸 Future Tech Experts in Year 1! 🐾 Our Year 1 students have been busy learning all about how we record and store information. Working in small groups, they put their skills to the test by taking photos and writing "super sentences" to describe different animals! We are so proud of their teamwork and how quickly they are mastering these important digital literacy skills. Check out some of their fantastic work below! 👇 #Year1 #DigitalLiteracy #SuperSentences #NSWPublicSchools #EarlyLearners"

Happy Feast Day to our Holy Spirit community! ❤️🕊️ Today, we gathered together as a parish community to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. Thank you to all staff, students and families who attended the Mass and shared in this special celebration of the Holy Spirit. A special thank you to our Stage 3 students who reverently performed the liturgical movement during Mass. It was wonderful to see so many families gathered on the school grounds afterwards, enjoying food, conversation, entertainment, and time together as a community. It was also fantastic to see some of our ex-students leading a Holy Spirit performance alongside some of our younger students — a beautiful reminder of the strong spirit and connection within our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a joyful and memorable celebration. 🕊️❤️

This term our students enjoyed an exciting and engaging World of Maths Incursion! Through hands-on activities and collaborative challenges, students explored how Maths is used in everyday life and discovered that Maths really is everywhere. Working in small teams, students communicated their ideas, solved problems together, and explored a variety of mathematical strands linked to their learning this term. It was wonderful to see students thinking critically, persevering through challenges, and most importantly, having fun while learning! A huge thank you to World of Maths for providing such an interactive and enjoyable experience for our students.

This week Jarara visited Holy Spirit and some of our students participated in a yarning circle — a respectful cultural discussion where everyone had the opportunity to listen, learn, share, and connect. The experience provided valuable opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal culture, storytelling, and the importance of community and respectful conversation. Students engaged thoughtfully and showed great curiosity and respect throughout the session. We sincerely thank Jarara for sharing their time, knowledge, and experiences.🖤💛❤️

Year 3 is currently learning how to plan, edit, and write informative texts about Ancient Civilisations. Students are developing their ability to use topic-specific vocabulary, include accurate facts, and write clear simple and compound sentences. They are also learning to use adjectives and adjectival phrases to make their writing more detailed and engaging for the reader. Check out this week's parent newsletter to read some of our great writing.

On Friday our Year 2 classroom turned into a tectonic workshop this week as we tackled the messy, wonderful world of volcanoes! Taking inspiration from the earth’s natural wonders, our young geologists got stuck into the clay to build some truly explosive masterpieces. Watching the kids dive into their clay techniques was the best part of the day. They’ve been busy pinching and pulling the clay into steep summits and using slab building to create those wide, sturdy bases. There was plenty of ""magic glue"" involved too, as they practiced scoring and slipping to keep their structures strong. Once the clay was set, the real magic happened—the children used vibrant paints to decorate their creations, splashing on fiery reds, glowing oranges, and smoky blacks to bring their rumbling mountains to life! We are so impressed with the focus and creativity Year 2 showed—they’ve officially turned a bit of earth into something spectacular. Check out our actions shots from the day here -
