Cube Counters and Capacity Experts! 📏 Our investigation into volume and capacity is going brilliantly! Year 2 students are using cubes to measure the internal volume of containers and water to measure capacity. We learned the difference between how much space something takes up (volume) and how much something holds (capacity)! Great work measuring, everyone! #MathsIsFun #Year2Curriculum #MeasuringSkills #CapacityExperts

Our Year 4 artists have been painting like the pros — stepping into the colourful world of Claude Monet and the magic of Impressionism! 🎨💫 Students explored how Monet used light, movement, and colour to capture the feeling of a moment, not just what he saw.

Today, our school community gathered for a solemn Remembrance Day Service to pause, reflect, and honour the courageous men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. 🌹 The service included prayers, the laying of poppies, and a moment of silence at 11:00 AM to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We focused on the values of courage, peace, and service, which resonate deeply with our Catholic faith. It is vital that our students understand the significance of this day and the enduring call to work toward peace in our world. Thank you to our students and staff for their respectful participation. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mr Ashley, Mrs Ritter and Jasmine for sharing with our school community their military artefacts which made our service all the more memorable. 🙏 Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #HolySpirit #CatholicEducation #ServiceAndSacrifice #WeRememberThem

We were thrilled to see our Year 3 and 4 students commence their 4-week Cricket Program yesterday! The energy was fantastic as they jumped straight into the fundamentals. For the first session, the focus was all on developing essential skills: mastering both underarm and overarm throwing techniques, as well as crucial catching practice. They showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship! It's going to be a brilliant few weeks of skill development and fun in the sun. 📸 Make sure you check the attached album for lots more shots of today's cricket action! 😀 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lxu8p_SrSppgnKcls8Ebm8xf15qu4abr?usp=drive_link

🏏 HUGE Congratulations to Rich Starwin! 💙 What a sensational performance! The whole Holy Spirit community is absolutely bursting with pride for our very own Rich Starwin, who has just bowled us over with his incredible achievement: making the Parramatta Team for cricket! 🥳 Rich Starwin faced some seriously tough competition and absolutely smashed it out of the park during the trials. Making a representative team like this is a massive milestone and a testament to his dedication, skill, and hours spent in the nets and on the pitch. We know he'll be an absolute all-rounder and a key player for Parramatta. This is a huge moment, and we can't wait to follow Rich's journey as he takes the crease with his new squad. Go get 'em, Rich! We're all cheering for you! 🎉

This week in Religion, Year 4 began our new unit titled “How Can Jesus Be God and Human?” ✝️ We’ve been taking a closer look at Jesus — discovering that He is both fully God and fully human. Using our RE Learning Board, students work together in groups and explored symbols that show Jesus’ human side (like the manger, tools, and family) and His divine side (like the empty tomb, water turned to wine, and the Transfiguration). Through thoughtful discussion and creative activities, students are deepening their understanding of who Jesus truly is — a wonderful mystery at the heart of our faith.
