Student Leaders Recognised by Penrith Mayor
Last Wednesday, 23 May, our 4 school leaders, Connor, Dominic, Ellie and Sienna were invited to attend a Civic Reception hosted by the Mayor of Penrith, Councillor John Thain.
At this Reception all school leaders from the Penrith local government area were recognised and presented with a special award. Congratulations to our school leaders!

What a clucking exciting week it's been in kindy! 🐓 We've been busy little learners, diving into the wonderful world of chickens! We've heard the egg-cellent news that Farmer Campbell will be dropping off some eggs next week! 🥚 Stay tuned to ""watch this space"" to see what exciting things are about to hatch in our classroom! In the meantime, our kindy kids have been putting their pencils to paper and showing off their amazing learning. Caring for Creation. Year 3 students read the Creation story for Catholic Mission’s and reflected on how they can keep our planet healthy and clean. They then discussed how individuals could make a difference and shared their favorite parts of creation by creating 'Seeds of Hope' artwork.

🍎 Kindy Buddies in Action! 🤝 What a special day for our current Kindy students! While our 2026 Kindy Orientation took place, our youngest learners spent quality time with their fantastic Year 5 buddies! The Year 5 students took on a wonderful leadership role, guiding their Kindy friends through fun activities, learning adventures, and exciting explorations around the school. It was a beautiful display of teamwork, mentorship, and friendship.

🏀 What an absolutely fantastic day we had yesterday at the Stage 2 & 3 Basketball Gala Day! 🎉 Our students hit the court with incredible energy and enthusiasm, showing off their amazing skills and sportsmanship. From epic layups to swishes from downtown, every student gave it their all! We saw some amazing teamwork, hustle, and incredible plays. Whether it was a win, a loss, or a draw, our students embraced every moment and learned so much. 💪

Mrs. Garzaniti and all of the teachers are absolutely buzzing with excitement after spending time with our Kindy 2026 students at Orientation today! 🥳🍎✏️ Their smiles, laughter, and passion for learning were already shining through! We had such a wonderful time learning about Mrs. Wishy-Washy and farm animals 🐷🦆🐄. The highlight, of course, was meeting our special guests: the real-life chickens! 🐓 We can't wait for you all to officially commence next year! Exploring Data in Year 4! Using their collected data, Year 4 students created colourful column graphs to uncover patterns, compare results, and make sense of the world around them! 🌏💡 It was wonderful to see our students thinking critically, develop meaningful conclusions and share their findings.

Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Students enrolling in Year 7 from 2026 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, which reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in learning within a supportive Catholic community.
